January 1, 2011 the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection banned certain electronic items from being disposed of with your trash collection under the Electronic Waste Management Act.

January 9, 2017 the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection revised these items and the Township's Recycling Vendor has requested we only recycle Covered Electronic Devices (CEDs) listed in the Electronic Waste Management Act. 

Residents may bring these Covered Electronic Devices (CEDs) listed below to the Department of Public Works yard located on Jane Way, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Acceptable Items (Covered Electronic Devices)

  • Computer Monitors
  • Computers
  • Desktop Faxes
  • Desktop Printers
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Televisions

Unacceptable Items

  • Cell or Landline Phones
  • Microwaves
  • Modems
  • Peripherals: wires, keyboards, and mouse
  • Radios
  • Toasters or Toaster Ovens
  • VHS tapes/ CDs/ DVDs
  • Wireless Routers
