Junior Police Academy

The Morris Township, Morris Plains, and Morristown Police Departments are extremely excited to bring the children of our community the opportunity to participate in our first ever Junior Police Academy. We have collectively put together an incredible program which will be held from July 8 through July 19, 2013. 

Tri-Morris Junior Police Academy
The first annual Tri-Morris Junior Police Academy will be a comprehensive two week camp focusing on:
  • Education to junior recruits from numerous agencies
  • Familiarization of internal departments and the criminal justice system
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduating eighth grader
  • Complete the enrollment application
  • Mail in submissions by April 15, 2013 for consideration
The cost to attend the academy will be $100. We are only accepting a limited number of recruits and slots will be given out on a first come/first serve basis. The prospective recruit must maintain a "B" average from the 2nd marking period on.

Upon Acceptance
A packet will be mailed to the address provided on his/her application and will need to be returned, along with payment, no later than May 15, 2013.

For those families who are in need of financial assistance in order to attend, you will have the opportunity to complete the grant request. We will be sponsoring a number of recruits based on financial need.  Please complete the Sponsorship Request form and return it with your completed application.
