TOWNSHIP OF MORRIS

COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY 

NOTICE OF ORDINANCE INTRODUCTION  

The ordinance published herewith was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the governing body of the Township of Morris, a municipal corporation of the State of New Jersey (the “Local Unit”), held on February 18, 2026.  It will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the governing body to be held at municipal building in the Local Unit on March 18, 2026 at 7:00 PM, and during the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of said bond ordinance will be made available at the Clerk’s office to the members of the general public who shall request the same.This Notice is published pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:2-17. 

ORDINANCE NO. 15-26 

ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $195,000 AVAILABLE IN THE SEWER UTILITY CAPITAL FUND BALANCE TO PROVIDE FOR PART OF THE COST OF VARIOUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BY THE TOWNSHIP OF MORRIS 

                        BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MORRIS (not less than two-thirds of all members thereof affirmatively concurring) AS FOLLOWS: 

                        Section 1.        $195,000 available in the Sewer Utility Capital Fund Balance of the Township of Morris, a municipal corporation of the State of New Jersey (the “Township”) is hereby appropriated to provide for part of the cost of the following improvements or purposes, including all work and materials necessary therefor or incidental thereto: (i) $115,000 for the Harter Road Resurfacing Project as set forth on the project list filed in the Department of Engineering; and (ii) $80,000 for the Gaston Road Resurfacing Project as set forth on the project list filed in the Department of Engineering. 

                        Section 2.        The capital budget of the Township is hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this ordinance to the extent of any inconsistency herewith.  

                        Section 3.        This ordinance shall take effect following the first publication thereof after final adoption in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
