What can I do about my neighbor's tree branch that overhangs onto my property?
Encroaching on a neighbor’s property is a civil matter. The township has no jurisdiction
in these situations. Some suggestions to remedy the situation is to discuss the problem
with the neighbor or send them a certified letter requesting that the limb be removed
and notifying them that you will have the tree limb removed if no action is taken within a
specified period of time. Any expenses that are incurred by this situation can be brought to civil court for a hearing to obtain reimbursement for those expenses.
