Clean Community Month in October!

Clean Community Month

Due to Covid- 19, the annually held Clean Community Month in April was rescheduled to October. Cleanups will be held on Saturdays, beginning October 10th and run through October 31st. The Morris Township Department of Parks & Recreation invites residents and community groups to join our Clean Community effort by cleaning up one of the Township’s parks, community facilities, or your own neighborhood.

The Parks & Recreation Department will supply work gloves and trash bags to any participating individual or group.  Organized groups may also ask for a limited number of rakes for area clean- ups.  We will deliver the supplies the week before your scheduled clean- up.  The Department’s maintenance staff will be traveling the Township in the afternoon each Saturday to pick-up filled trash bags, debris, and rakes (when borrowed).

Morris Township civic associations, sports organizations, and individual citizen volunteers are invited to join in this important community event. Please come out, meet your neighbors and contribute a bit of fun clean-up work to a great cause.

 Covid Social Distance Rules:

  • Volunteers must maintain social distance of at least 6 feet and wear a mask when necessary
  • The number of volunteers must be limited to 25 in any one location

PLEASE CONTACT THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT TO CONFIRM YOUR PARTICIPATION AND DROP OFF LOCATION FOR SUPPLIES– 973-326-7371
