 AUCTION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY

 NOTICE OF SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC USE

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-36, the Township of Morris will conduct a public auction sale of surplus Township of Morris property no longer needed for public use.  The auction will be held online.

Length of auction: Tuesday, March 17, 2026- Friday, April 3, 2026, 7 PM    

Inspection of items for sale: Monday-Friday, 7 AM- 3:00 PM(different times for different locations, please call or email for times). Please note: not only are items located in different locations but payment location is different from pick-up location.

All bidders participating in this auction agree that they have read and fully understand the terms and conditions outlined on the site and agree to be bound thereby. All sales will be made to the highest bidder and shall be final.  All items are sold in an “as is, where is” condition, free from any guarantee or warranty.   The payment terms of the sale are posted on the website.  All items must be purchased and removed within fourteen (14) business days of the close of the auction or ownership shall revert back to the Township of Morris. 

Payment in full as well as a driver’s license number or corporate code number (if a dealer) must be provided to obtain the title, keys, and/or vehicle. Payment will be made in the Administrator’s Office, Municipal Building, 50 Woodland Avenue, Morristown, NJ, as well as title and key pick up.
