Lifeguard Training Class

A lifeguard training course will be offered at Streeter Pool! This class includes instruction in lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid! 

To earn a Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate*, you must: 

  • be 15 years of age by the end of June
  • pass the required written and water tests in:
    • lifeguarding
    • CPR and First Aid

 *certification is good for 2 years 

 All classes must be attended. 

 Fee: $325 (includes books, pocket mask for CPR, Red Cross Certificates)

Lifeguard Training Class Dates/Times/Lesson:

Friday, June 17th: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Pre-Test -(300-yard continuous swim, 10 Ib brick retrieval, 2-minute treading water) Lessons 1 & 2

Saturday, June 18th:

8:00am - 12:00 noon Lessons 3- 4

**1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Lessons 5-6 (Morristown High School)

Sunday, June 19th:

8:00am - 12:00 noon Lesson 7

Monday, June 20th:

8:00am - 2:00pm Lesson 8-9 (includes written and water test)

 Rain Day if needed:

June 22nd: 1-4pm and/or June 25th: 9-12
