Activities with fees
- Fill out the registration form found in the brochure
- Mail to the recreation office or drop off at your convenience
- Payment by check or cash in the correct amount only.
- Make check payable to the Township of Morris Recreation Dept
- Your cancelled check will be your receipt.
- All fees must be paid at time of registration and prior to class start time.
- Refunds will be given if the Parks Recreation Department cancels a program.
- Request for refunds must be written and received 5 days prior to the program start date.
- No refunds of registration fees will be given once the program begins.
Activities that do not require fees
- Call the Parks Recreation Office at 973-326-7371. Because of call volume, your call may drop to voice mail.
- To reserve a place, you must leave the following information:
- Name of registrant(s) with correct spelling of name(s)
- Address, phone number, & age of participant(s)
- Name & number of the activity
- Every effort will be made to return & verify your call
General Information

- Only Morris Township residents may register for these programs
- All participants must register through the Parks & Recreation Office.
No registrations will be taken at the program sites.
- Registration is limited in some programs and is taken on a first-come, first-served
basis.
- Programs will be cancelled if there are insufficient registrations.
- Registration fees are non-refundable unless a class is cancelled by the Parks &
Recreation Department.
- Please be aware that unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather or school programs, may cause program changes.
- The Recreation Department reserves the right to make changes.

BALL FIELD/FACILITY RESERVATION
When scheduling an athletic contest or event on a municipal field, reserving the use of that field is the only sure method of guaranteeing that the field you want is not already being used.
Please submit in writing the following information: field name, date & time, purpose of field use, your name, address & phone number. Mail or fax (973-605-8363) to the Recreation Office at 50 Woodland Avenue, P.O. Box 7603, Convent Station, NJ 07961-7603.
All groups of 15 or more persons desiring to use an outdoor facility or athletic field maintained by the Township of Morris must file a formal application with the Department of Parks Recreation. In addition to the completed and signed application form, the applicant must also provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance addressed to the Township of Morris in the minimum coverage amount of $1,000,000 naming the Township of Morris as an additional insured, plus a signed Hold Harmless agreement.
Fees for reserved group use are set by Township Ordinance. Please contact the Department of Parks Recreation for details.

The general goal of the
Morris Township Parks & Recreation
Department is to provide
recreation & leisure
for residents of all
ages.
The Morris Township
Parks & Recreation Advisory
Committee is appointed by
the Township Committee.
There are a total of
twenty-three members appointed
for 3-year staggered
terms. The Advisory
Committee meets the 3rd
Thursday of each month, except August, at 7 PM at
the Morris Township
Municipal Building.
If you have a recreation issue that should be brought to the attention of the committee, please call the Recreation Office at (973) 326-7371 or e-mail us to schedule a future time on the committee agenda.
The Committee is
responsible for the
planning and
implementation of long
range plans for
recreation programs and
parks. This includes park
construction and need
assessments.
