October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month


October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and in order to help raise awareness the Morris Township Police Department will be a designated drop off site for items that Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter is in desperate need of until the end of November. The shelter houses women and children that need safety from an abusive relationship.

Here is a list of what they need right now especially with the holidays coming:

Girl's & Boys briefs
Summer clothing for toddlers & children
Diapers (Size 1,2,3,4,5 & 6)
Diaper wipes
Pull Ups
Swimming Pull Ups (Splashers)

Food Storage

Zip lock bags for freezers/refrigerator (all sizes!)

Aluminium foil

Plastic wrap

Women's casual clothing
Yoga pants (Medium and up) or
slip-on elastic waist/drawstring pants
T-shirts/tank tops
Zip up sweatshirts (all in various sizes)
Slippers for women and children

Travel mugs/refillable water bottles
Baby Bottles
Multicultural Baby Dolls
New Bath Towels

animal crackers
mini muffins
trail mix
fruit snacks
juice boxes
bottles of water

Juice boxes
Mac and cheese
